The climate year in Toro was the same as its close neighbors in Ribera de Duero: hot and dry. With one big exception: they didn’t suffer the tragic frost of April 28. The spring began with high temperatures resulting in early budding, and later a sudden drop in temperatures caused the slowdown of the growth cycle again. The late spring and early summer suffered high temperatures that advanced the cycle. In late July and August, temperatures eased up and some precipitation ensured the water reserves until the end of the harvest, improving acidity and giving fruitiness to the wine.

In the mouth, it is a very intense wine. Structured and deep. The notes perceived in the nose appear again: rope black fruit, nail and coffee. At the end, touches of pepper. Abundant tannins of fruit, fine but powerful at the same time. It is a very persistent wine with a long finish.
Powerful, very wide, elegant but mainly full-bodied and fleshy wine. Very fruity and perfectly balanced palate in which one can rediscover the complexity felt in the nose. It has a long, very tasty and very fresh mid palate with an excellent acidity and excellent balsamic aromas. Its lively tannins are very nice. Long and very persistent finish with an aftertaste of mineral and fruity aromas. A great wine that will leave nobody indifferent.
